2024 GOALS

Note that the 2024 Goals Linked Below Are In a Draft of a SMART Goal! The Original Suggested Raw Ideas are listed below them. Being a Draft SMART Goal Does Not Imply That The SMART Goal Is Endorsed By OREA Or Is Something That Will Be Actively Pursued! Each Draft Needs to be Evaluated, Then Be Prioritized By the OREA Strategy Committee, then the full OREA Board of Directors In Concert With the Leadership of the Ortonville Recreation Area At the Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area Office To Become a Goal That Is Acted Upon.

HAVING A LARGE LIST OF SUGGESTED ACTIONS FROM A VARIETY OF SOURCES IS ALWAYS A GREAT START! Thank You Everyone For Your Input.

Additional Ideas Can Always Be Communicated To OREA.Treasurer@gmail.com.

Progress towards Proposed 2024 Goals

ALL of the original proposed goals with 4 or more Yes votes have been addressed in at least 1 first draft of a SMART GOAL.

We have addressed 137 of the 169 goals proposed in December through February 18 by drafting 34 Smart Goal Documents encompassing 44 SMART Goals!!!

This means we have either: Already accomplished the proposed goal, The proposed goal is on the DNR Plans for 2024,     We have put a strategy in place to accomplish the proposed goal, We are actively working towards the proposed goal, or We have drafted a 2024 SMART Goal to address the proposed goal. 17 SMART Goal documents have been drafted to address the majority of the proposed goals!

32 of the remaining proposed goals are on the low priority list for 2024 meaning they had 3 or fewer Yes votes and we are choosing not to address them at this time.

  • Campground: Campground Sites / Spacing => * Campground Redesign Goal - Submitted Proposal to DNR in December 2023

  • Make campsites larger where possible. Expand site #2. Consider removing 2 or 3 sites in cul-de-sac area.
